INGREDIENTS

  • 70 g all-purpose flour, or whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup vegan yogurt, (70 g)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or vegan butter, melted

Coating (can be just sugar)

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (355°F).
  • Mix the flour with the baking powder. Add the yogurt and mix again.
  • Transfer to your work surface and knead for about 4-5 minutes or until the dough feels smooth, but slightly sticky.
  • Divide the dough into same size balls (9-10 g).
  • Add the melted margarine to a bowl, toss the dough balls and shake it up to fully coat them with margarine.
  • Place the dough balls in the air fryer, leaving a little space between them, and cook for 5 ½ minutes. They should look slightly golden.
  • Toss the balls to the bowl with the remaining margarine (if there is no more margarine left in the bowl, add ½ to 1 tablespoon more), and shake again until fully coated.
  • Finally, transfer the balls to a bowl with sugar (it can be just sugar or sugar mixed with cinnamon), and give it a shake to make the sugar stick to the donut holes.
  • Serve right away.

NOTES

If you decide to store the donuts, I recommend microwaving them for 5-7 seconds prior to serving so they are soft when eaten.
