INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups mango chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup orange juice or water
  • 3 ½ tablespoon lime juice
  • 3 tablespoon sugar or your favorite sweetener
  • Chili powder to taste, optional*
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup diced mango
  • Chamoy to taste**

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a blender, combine the mango chunks, orange juice or water, lime juice, sugar or sweetener, chili powder (if desired), and a pinch of salt.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lime juice if desired.
  • Add the diced mango to the mixture and add chamoy to taste. If you don't want the chamoy to be fully mixed with the rest of the liquid, use a toothpick to create a marbled effect, leaving some areas without chamoy and others with chamoy.
  • Pour the mixture into popsicle molds.
  • Insert popsicle sticks into each mold.
  • Place the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  • Once the popsicles are frozen, remove them from the molds by running warm water over the bottom for a few seconds to loosen them.

NOTES

*You can adjust the amount of chili powder according to your desired level of spiciness. The chili powder I used is Tajín (a mexican brand).
**I made the chamoy myself for this recipe (it tastes DELICIOUS), and we have the recipe right here on the blog (we mentioned it in the content of this post above the recipe).
