Well, my full name is Ana Rubia Bueno Silva (yep, Rubia is my actual name), but all my friends call me Annie, so feel free to call me Annie too ♡
I’m 28 years old, born in Mexico and currently living in Canada. I’m an environmental scientist and also a Plant-based Chef. I love doing a bunch of things, but some of my favorite are: taking pictures, cooking, reading, working out, dancing, playing board games, hanging out with the people I love, among other things.
I LOVE animals, they are way too important to me and the main reason why I became vegan (along with contributing to taking care of our amazing planet). I have a dog named Kiki and I love her with all my heart.
I’ve been vegan since October 2015, and I can tell you it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It completely changed my perspective on life and the footprint I want to leave in the world. Thanks to that, Happy Vegannie was born, which allowed me to combine my biggest passions: taking care of the planet, cooking, and photography.
Our goal at Happy Vegannie is to make it easier to learn how to cook amazing vegan food while we promote planet care, animal liberation, and encourage healthy, ethical, and sustainable eating.
Digging a little bit into the professional part, I have taught several courses and face-to-face certifications at a prestigious Culinary School in Morelia, Michoacán (all sold out), training more than 120 people in Vegan Gastronomy. Also, in our online platform, we have about +700 students taking our courses especially focused on Vegan Pastry and Desserts.
It may sound cheesy, but I feel super grateful to have been able to discover what makes me happy and do what I do. And even more grateful to you for being here! *wipes a tear*
