How do you prepare this homemade plant-based milk?

Simply blend one cup of water with one tablespoon of nut butter until smooth and creamy. The ratio of water to nut butter will vary depending on the thickness of your nut butter and how creamy you want your milk to be. You can also add sweeteners or flavors like vanilla extract or dates to customize your milk.

This nut butter milk is perfect for adding to smoothies, using in baking recipes, or even enjoying on its own. It’s rich and creamy, with a subtle nutty flavor that’s sure to please your taste buds. Plus, it’s packed with healthy fats and protein, making it a great addition to any vegan diet.

FAQs

How long does homemade plant-based milk last?
Homemade plant-based milk can last up to a week in the fridge. Although one thing that I really like to do is pour it into a tray to make ice cubes, and that’s how I add the frozen milk cubes to my smoothies to make them cold and creamy. And it extends its life 5x!

Can I use any type of nut butter?
Yes, you can use any nut butter you like. Almond butter, cashew butter, and peanut butter are all great options.

Can I sweeten my nut milk?
Yes, you can add sweeteners like dates, brown sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup or monk fruit to your nut milk for added flavor and sweetness.

Can I use a blender or a food processor?
Either a blender or a food processor can be used to make homemade plant-based milk. However, a high-speed blender will yield a smoother and creamier texture.

Can I use this milk in recipes that call for dairy milk?
Yes, you can use this plant-based milk as a substitute for dairy milk in most recipes, including baking and cooking. Just be aware that it may have a slightly different flavor and consistency than dairy milk, so you may need to adjust the recipe accordingly.

In what other recipes can I use this milk?

You can use this homemade plant-based milk in any dessert recipe that calls for normal non-dairy milk. We suggest you also use it in recipes such as: Vegan Protein Pancakes, Vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cinnamon Rolls or Vegan Chocolate Mugcake.
